How to add Suggested Prompts in Bold Agent

Suggested Prompts in Bold Agent enable predefined queries to be displayed when users open the chat interface. This feature helps users quickly access commonly used prompts and standardize initial interactions.

Suggested Prompts can be configured in two channels:

  • Agent Hub – A centralized hub where agents are published and shared with team members and collaborators within your organization.
  • Widget – A published agent embedded as a chat widget on external websites to provide AI assistance to website visitors.

Add Suggested Prompts in Agent Hub

Agent Hub allows you to share agents with other users and configure suggested prompts to guide initial interactions.

Open Agent Hub Configuration

  1. Navigate to Agent Builder.
  2. Select the required agent.
  3. From the left panel, click Channels → Agent Hub.

  1. Go to the Configuration tab.

  1. Scroll to the Suggested Prompts section.
  2. Select Add Prompts to open the configuration dialog.

Agent AddPrompts

The Add Prompts dialog allows you to define up to 10 suggested prompts for your agent.

Define Prompt Fields

  1. In the Add Prompts dialog, enter the required details:

    Title
    Defines the display label for the suggested prompt.
    Example: Technical Support

    Prompt
    Defines the actual message that will be submitted when the user selects this prompt.
    Example: I need help troubleshooting a technical issue with my account.

  1. The dialog displays the current count (e.g., 1/10 Prompts) indicating the number of prompts configured out of the maximum allowed.

Add Multiple Prompts

  1. Select Add another prompt to create additional prompt entries.
  2. Enter the title and prompt text for each additional entry.
  3. You can configure a maximum of 10 prompts for Agent Hub.

  1. To modify an existing prompt, edit the title or prompt text directly within the dialog.
  2. To remove a prompt, select the delete icon (trash icon) next to the prompt entry.

Save Configuration

  1. After configuring all desired prompts, select Add to apply the changes.

  1. Select Save to save the Agent Hub configuration.

Users accessing your agent through Agent Hub will now see the configured suggested prompts, enabling quick access to common queries.

Add Suggested Prompts in Widget

Widget Channel allows you to deploy agents on your website and configure suggested prompts for visitors.

Open the Chat Widget Configuration

  1. Navigate to Agent Builder.
  2. Select the required agent.
  3. From the left panel, click Channels → Widget.
  4. Go to the Chat Experience tab.

  1. Scroll to the Suggested Prompts section.
  2. Select Add Prompts to open the configuration dialog.

Define Prompt Fields

  1. In the Add Prompts dialog, enter the required details:

    Title
    Defines the label displayed in the chat widget.
    Example: Summarize this page

    Prompt
    Defines the message that is automatically submitted when the prompt is selected.
    Example: Provide a clear and well-structured summary of this documentation, covering its purpose, main concepts, key components, and any important technical details explicitly mentioned in the source.
